Katara couldn’t stop staring. It was as if a Fire Nation ship had hit an iceberg inhabited by rabid wolves that were on fire; it was horrible, but she could not look away. Even Zuko’s normal animosity disappeared after the waterbender pointed it out. The fire prince was the first to speak. He pointed to the pair before them, turned to Katara, and asked, “What?”
“I don’t know,” Katara groaned, “and I don’t want to know.”
Sokka put on a lime-green hat adorned with a feather in an unnatural shade of pink. His heavy coat was on, albeit open, despite the heat. He adjusted the hat and held up a cane. “So, then I say, ‘Where my bitches at?’”
The aged fire-bender nodded. He himself had a hat like Sokka’s on top of his head, only deep blue with a lime-green feather. “Exactly.”
“Do I even have any bitches?” the younger man asked.
Iroh patted him on the back. “The bitches will come, apprentice. The bitches will come…”
Zuko had just gone to bang his head against a nearby wall when Aang ran up to the waterbender, a bright pink hat decorated with eagle feathers on his head. “Hey, look, Katara!” the airbender said brightly. “I found something to cover the arrow in case—hey, why’s he banging his head against the wall?” he said, pointing to the fire prince. The waterbender said nothing and went to join the firebender. Aang blinked. “Is this why pimpin’ ain’t easy?”
