Tonight I was subjected to my second Evanescence song. Yes, I live in a hole in the ground. It is warm and cozy and doesn't have awful-ass lyrics like "These wounds won't seem to heal/ This pain is just too real...". I mean, GAH. Kill it with fire. If it was played for a gag... No. Not even Weird Al can possibly make that entertaining.

Now that I Googled the lyrics to see if what I heard was, in fact, for real, I need to flush my brain with anti-wangst music, STAT. I want that OUT of my head. Like, yesterday.

... and for extra irony, music from Shadow's game is on the playlist. *bricked!*

Damn, but I <3 Crush 40.

I need to send you some Nightwish to wash it out with what they imitate poorly. Except without spoken bits, or electronic processing, and with better lyrics.

I learned quickly. Evanescence has one majorly good song - Bring Me To Life - and that's only because it maintains the things I manage to -like- about emowangst groups like Linkin Park and them - nice fast guitar, and alternating vocals that sound like people flailing around regardless of which one's singing.

Well, hon, you will hate going into the Billiecave when I'm Shadow-y (which might or might not have set off), then. Evanscence & Linkin Park are two of my favorite Shadow mode artists.
