chaoscheebsI don't know why I'm so worked up over this pairing, but I AM. Ergo, another drabble.

This is wrong, he thought.
He knows it’s wrong. He’s the commander of a major military faction, for heaven’s sake. He stands up for truth, justice, and the Federation way! And that’s the enemy! The male enemy! This could cost him his career. He’s not even particularly attractive. And he likes Picard better! Picard!
But the doctor’s smart. God, is he ever smart, he thought with a shiver. That more than makes up for that. And, he reminds him of Maria, in some small way…
The doctor fidgets in his sleep. It’s cute, really. He’s always full of energy. If only he’d put it to use for good more often. Then maybe…
The commander shook his head. Maybe he’ll change. Maybe. But for now, it's his dirty little secret.
