Why did the difficulty in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories have to go up to "... mommy! X.x" starting with that fourth Riku fight? Why?

... I need better cards. And the Moogle Points to afford them. Darn it.

Oh, I _know_. It's just that's the point when the bosses started kicking my butt a few times before I beat them. Of course, one of those times was my own darn fault for not restoring my HP beforehand. Currently I'm stuck at Marluxia.
