Jet is a pain in the butt.
Jul. 3rd, 2007 02:30 amSo, I upgraded mp3 players. From Vector the 1st generation 1-gig iPod Nano to Jet the 2nd generation 4-gig Nano (green, of course). Did consider a Creative Zen, but one too many negative reviews concerning their service if the Zen player craps out on Amazon.com dissuaded me. Plus I know already iPod Nanos are tough enough to survive repeated drops. (I dropped Jet like five or six times in the 4 days I've had him and he's still OK.) Nanos are tested Chibi-tough! XD
But... First, I musta put something massively non-compatable into him, because he rebooted himself repeatedly. A restore fixed him, but now he won't play the song "Purest One", when Vector would play it just fine. "Purest One" is a .wma file, but Winamp would convert it to something playable for Vector. Guess I'll just haveta find something to convert it, because I <3 that song.
It's kinda funny, tho'. For a moment, I thought about
rogueofbabylon and wondered if Jet-pod was only working because I had forgotten to put my collection of Relient K songs (including "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything") onto him. Oddly enough, maybe trying to do that was what bugged him up. One of the songs in that collection is "Fallen Man", a copy-protected file that was offered for download by buying Five Score and Seven Years Ago. I remembered to take it out this time, so here's hopin' he doesn't rebel against Relient K again. XD
