This sounds very wrong...

Complete every mission as a character with A ranking on every one of them (extremely difficult) and that character will obtain a new costume to use in 2P Battles. Sonic and Shadow obtain costumes from PSO, Knuckles and Rouge receive leather costumes, Tails gets a red Cyclone walker, and Eggman gets a black top hat and clothing.
Something about Sonic characters in leather disturbs me in ways I cannot begin to comprehend. Now I have to cleanse my mind of mental images, including one of a mysteriously human Knuckles in leather pants. *beat* Well, maybe _that_ one can stay for a little bit.
Oh, and speaking of human-form Sonic characters, meeta vampiric Seto Kaiba wannabe a mad symphony conductor Shadow:

Beat Arc the Lad IV last night, despite not feeling that well. ( Read final boss fight rambles? )
Now, is it just me, or has anyone else who's played the game think of .hack when they hear "Twilight of the Spirits"? The Epitaph of Twlight in the game was said to be about the end of the age of spirits, Arc IV is about the end of the age of spirits... *sigh* At least I'm thinking of Wild Arms less this time around, although Samsom _IS_ a Filgaian refugee. Really, look at him! Cowboy all the way down to weapons.
... OK, I've gone from Sonic character in leather to Wild Arms. Here's concrete proof I can incorperate Wild Arms into _ANYTHING_.
